Manager Joe Mikulik throws helmet, punts shoe during temper tantrum (Video)

Minor league baseball manager Joe Mikulik has made a name for himself with his epic temper tantrums, and he had another legendary one on Tuesday night as manager of the Double-A Frisco RoughRiders. Mikulik had the right to be angry, however, as the umpires made a ridiculously bad call.

Joe Mikulik punts shoe
In the top of the fifth inning, RoughRiders third base runner Jake Skole was called out at home plate, despite the fact that Midland Rockhounds catcher Bruce Maxwell dropped the ball before applying the tag. The umpires huddled to discuss the play afterwards, but the call stood. It's hard to believe how the umpires blew this one considering how clear it was on the video that the ball was rolling on the ground about three feet away from home plate when the catcher made the tag.

Naturally, Mikulik was furious after the umpires stood by their call, responding by slamming his helmet down on the ground, triggering an immediate ejection. That was just the start of it, as Mikulik then kicked some dirt on home plate and punted his shoe across the field.

Unfortunately the video doesn't show everything that follows, but Mikulik went on to throw a trash can, medicine ball, towels and his shirt onto the field. Of course, when it was all over, the poor ball boys are left to clean up the mess afterwards.

To add insult to injury, the RoughRiders blew a three-run lead and lost to the Rockhounds 5-4 in extra innings.
