Haydn Fleury wipes out vs Ducks

Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Haydn Fleury committed an embarrassing blunder which led directly to a goal by the Anaheim Ducks in the final minute of the second period during Monday night's NHL game at the Honda Center.

Fleury was closest to the puck as it was cleared from the Ducks defensive end. However, Fluery lost control of the puck, then completely wiped out while trying to recover, giving Jakob Silfverberg a breakaway opportunity.

Silfverberg took advantage to score the unassisted goal to give the Ducks a 2-1 lead. Silfverberg earned the Number 2 star of the game as the Ducks beat the Hurricanes 3-2.
