Bruins-Panthers game interrupted as lights go out in middle of play

Bruins vs Panthers lights go out at TD Garden 11/12/2019

Tuesday night's Boston Bruins game against the visiting Florida Panthers was briefly interrupted when the lights went out at the TD Garden right in the middle of a play.

It happened in the first minute of the second period as the Panthers were setting up their offense in the Bruins zone during a power play with no score in the game at the time. Right winger Evgenii Dadonov took a shot which was stopped by goaltender Tuukka Rask. The puck kicked out to Panthers center Mike Hoffman, but just as he was about to take the shot, the arena went dark.

The officials blew the whistle immediately, and before the players knew what happened, the lights came back on. Probably Johnny causing trouble again.

In the end, TD Garden was dark for less than two seconds, but that could have been a disaster. Let's hope this doesn't happen again.
