Leon Draisaitl scores as puck takes crazy bounce off opponent's skate (Video)

Edmonton Oilers center Leon Draisaitl scores off crazy bounce 2/21/2020

Edmonton Oilers center Leon Draisaitl scored a goal with the help of the strangest bounce you will ever see during Friday night's game against Minnesota.

It happened in the second period with the score tied at 2. The Oilers won the faceoff in the Wild zone, with Ryan Nugent-Hopkins taking the puck and passing it back to Matthew Benning at the point. Benning shot the puck wide and it bounced along the boards and around the back of the net to Draisaitl. Draisaitl tried to center it and the puck hit the heel of the skate of Wild left winger Jordan Greenway, who was skating back up the ice the other way. The puck deflected backwards and into the air, fooling everyone, especially goaltender Alex Stalock, as the puck found its way into the back of the net.

You don't see that every day.

Unfortunately, Draisaitl's goal would be the last for the Oilers in the game, as the Wild followed up with three goals (all scored by Jared Spurgeon) to give Minnesota the 5-3 road victory.
