Report: Georgia QB Stetson Bennett arrested in Dallas for public intoxication

Georgia senior quarterback Stetson Bennett was arrested early Sunday morning in Dallas on a charge of public intoxication.

According to WFAA, officers were responding to a report of a man banging on doors in the 1600 block of Tribeca Way in Old East Dallas. A police news release says that when they arrived on the scene, they found Bennett "and determined he was intoxicated." It was unclear whether Bennett was the man reported banging on doors. He was arrested and taken to a city detention center.

Bennett had just finished his senior season, leading Georgia to its second consecutive national championship. He was named MVP in the CFP National Championship game.
