Mikal Bridges swears in live postgame interview after Knicks eliminate Pistons (Video)

Mikal Bridges live postgame interview, Knicks vs. Pistons, 5/1/2025

New York Knicks small forward Mikal Bridges accidentally cursed during a live postgame interview after the Knicks eliminated the Detroit Pistons from the playoffs with Friday's 116-113 come-from-behind Game 6 victory.

Bridges scored 25 points and had a huge tip-in to tie the game in the final minute, allowing superstar point guard Jalen Brunson to hit the game-winning three pointer with 5.1 seconds left. After the game, Bridges was given a headset on the court and interviewed by Mike Breen live on the MSG Network Knicks postgame show.

The first question Breen asked was what the Knicks discussed in the huddle while down 7 points with two and a half minutes left. Bridges said "We're built for this sh**."

Breen had to remind Bridges to be careful with his language, but he did chuckle as Bridges immediately apologized. This certainly isn't the first time a player has cursed during a postgame interview, and it surely won't be the last.

Since MSG is a cable network, they likely will not get find. Still, their censors were clearly not prepared. They could have used a delay of at least 6 seconds, which happens to be the exact amount of time Bridges played in the final regular season game. It was a cheap way to keep his consecutive games played streak alive.

The Knicks won the series 4 games to 2 to advance to the second round of the playoffs, where they will face their rival and defending NBA Champion Boston Celtics. Game 1 is Monday night. Should be a good one.
