Toronto Blue Jays left fielder Davis Schneider lost a fly ball in the sun with the roof of their home stadium open during Sunday's game against San Francisco.
It happened with Giants batter Jung Hoo Lee at the plate leading off the game. On the 1-0 pitch, Lee hit a high popup to short left field. Schneider appeared to have an easy play when he put his arms up to protect himself and ducked out of the way with the ball coming down. The ball bounced a few feet in front of him, and by the time Schneider tracked it down, Lee made it to second base with a stand-up double.

It is not the first time we have seen an MLB outfielder lose a fly ball in the sun, but it is still shocking to see it happen as you do not expect it.
Lee came around to score on a single by the next Giants batter, Heliot Ramos, giving the Giants an early 1-0 lead. However, the Blue Jays were able to tie the game at 1-1 in the bottom of the first with a solo HR by Vlad Guerrero Jr.
Schneider walked twice in the game before being subbed out for Nathan Lukes, who pinch hit for him in the 5th and took his spot in left field. The substitution did not seem to be related to Schneider's misplay of the popup. As of this writing, in the bottom of the 7th inning, the Blue Jays lead the Giants 8-6.
