New England Patriots legend (and future Pro Football Hall of Famer) Tom Brady playfully mocked former teammate Rob Gronkowski as they sat next to each other during this week's pregame episode of FOX NFL Sunday.
Brady was answering a question about how well current Pats QB Drake Maye was playing this season. He first complemented offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels for his ability to develop quarterbacks, as Brady also worked with him during his tenure with the Pats. Then, he made a comment no one saw coming:
"Right now, Drake Maye is playing with the greatest tight end in the history of the New England Patriots, Hunter Henry..."

The rest of the studio crew, made up of Curt Menefee, Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long and Michael Strahan, caught on to the joke immediately. Even Brady had trouble keeping a straight face after that, and Gronk was a good sport about being the butt of the joke. Of course, Brady and Gronk are two of the greatest Patriots players of all-time.
Gronk racked up 9,286 yards receiving and 92 touchdowns on 621 receptions during his tenure with the Pats. Meanwhile, Henry has 199 catches for 2,205 yards and 19 touchdowns during his 5 years with the Pats, so it was fairly obvious that Brady's comment was made in jest.
