ESPN NBA analyst Charles Barkley had an embarrassing NSFW gaffe during Saturday night's postgame studio session following the New York Knicks 108-106 victory against the visiting Houston Rockets.
It was an up-and-down game for the Knicks, who led by as much as 13 points in the first half but found themselves digging out of an 18 point deficit in the fourth quarter. It was when host Ernie Johnson asked Barkley about the Knicks blowing their lead in the game that Barkley made the goof without even realizing it, causing Kenny Smith and Shaquille O'Neal to immediately break out in hysterics:
Charles Barkley called the New York Knicks the "Dicks" and Kenny and Shaq could NOT STOP laughing 😂🤣 pic.twitter.com/pSooQskH9z

"Well, I think that...the D**ks, to me, their offense got stagnant...In the beginning they were flowing. I think they got stagnant, and that was the difference and the Rockets got rolling..."
Barkley has provided viewers plenty of hilarious content over the years, and this is certainly not the first time he has goofed up a name. However, you would figure Barkley would know the names of NBA teams by now.
Since this was aired on ABC, the FCC may have something to say on this matter. Not a good look for a network owned by Disney. Next time, ABC needs the censors standing by.
