ESPN NBA color analyst Doris Burke called out the officials in Sunday's matchup between the Denver Nuggets and visiting Minnesota Timberwolves for calling a foul on Anthony Edwards for a push-off that many other star players typically get away with.
Edwards was called for a charge on a play that occurred with 4:46 remaining in the third quarter with the Timberwolves leading 81-69. The T-Wolves challenged the foul call on Edwards but were unsuccessful. The replay did show that Edwards extended his arm out on the play, but Burke pointed out that many other NBA players make the same play and the foul is not called on them.

"I'm gonna be honest, OKC Thunder fans are going to start hating on me right now. How many times does Shai Gilgeous-Alexander get away with that exact kind of play… and there's no whistle"

"I'm gonna be honest, OKC Thunder fans are going to start hating on me right now. How many times does Shai Gilgeous-Alexander get away with that exact kind of (play) and other players in the league...because I see that nightly in the NBA and there's no whistle."
As if Edwards needed more motivation to criticize officials, he may have been justified here based on Burke's comments.
In the end, the T-wolves won the game 117-108 led by Edwards with 21 points. It was their first win over the Nuggets in four games this season.
