Video: Cubs Fan In Milwaukee Fails Multiple Times When Trying To Grab Foul Balls

A Chicago Cubs fan in the front row of Miller Park in Milwaukee had a particularly difficult time in his unsuccessful attempts to get his hands on a baseball.  He did a somersault and fell onto the field when trying to grab one ball thrown into the stands by a ballboy, and another ball that was hit right to him went right under his hand.

In the bottom of the seventh, a foul ball was hit that bounced off a dugout railing and back to Cubs third baseman, who tossed it to Milwaukee Brewers third base coach Ed Sedar.  Sedar tossed the ball up for grabs to some fans in the front row in left field.  One Cubs fan left his seat at the last moment and quickly lunged over the railing to get the ball...and failed miserably.  As if it wasn't bad enough to be unsuccessful in getting the ball, his momentum carried him head over heels onto the field.  (Fortunately the fan was uninjured).

Amazingly, the same Cubs fan had the perfect chance to redeem himself during the top of the next inning when one of the Cubs hit a slow foul ball down the third base line.  This time, the fan was perfectly positioned and all he had to do was reach over and grab it.  So he reached over...and the ball went right under his hand and was grabbed by the fan three seats down.

The Cubs fan seemed to take it all in stride.  As the commentators said, "He's smiling a lot for having a bad night."  There's something to be said for that.  However, this guy probably could use some pointers from that other Cubs fan who caught the foul ball barehanded while holding a baby in his other hand a couple of weeks ago.
