Shayne Gostisbehere sells high stick penalty with massive flop (Video)

Shayne Gostisbehere sells high stick

Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere went all out to draw a high stick penalty on an opposing player during Tuesday night's game against New Jersey.

Gostisbehere was chasing down the puck in the Flyers defensive end when he was hit in the shoulder by Devils right winger Nick Lappin. Despite being hit in the shoulder pad, Gostisbehere was able to sell it by whipping his head back and dropping down to the ice. Gostisbehere even went so far as to skate to the bench so the team could "check on him".

Lappin was sent to the penalty box for high-sticking, so apparently it pays to flop in the NHL.

The Devils got the last laugh, however, as they beat the Flyers 5-4 in a shootout.
