LSU RB Leonard Fournette has facemask ripped off (Video)

LSU freshman running back Leonard Fournette was lucky he didn't get seriously hurt when his facemask was nearly ripped clean off on a fourth quarter run during the game-winning drive in Saturday night's upset victory over Ole Miss.

Fournette took a 6-yard run down to the 7-yard line when Ole Miss linebacker Serderius Bryant grabbed his facemask. Either Bryant is incredibly strong or the screws on Fournette's helmet were really loose, because Bryant almost managed to pull the facemask right off Fournette's helmet, with only one of the top screws keeping the facemask attached to the helmet.

This is not something we can recall ever seeing in a football game before. Bryant was called for a facemask penalty, because of course, it was impossible to miss that Fournette's facemask was no longer covering his face. Fournette had to come out of the game to get his helmet fixed.

Fournette led the Tigers with 113 yards rushing as LSU beat Ole Miss 10-7.
