Soccer coach punches referee in face during Romanian Cup match (Video)

A Romanian soccer coach punched a referee in the face during extra time of a Romanian Cup match after a penalty was called against his team.

A Union Springs defender was called for a handball while positioned as part of a defensive wall to block an Arsenal Malu free kick in the 110th minute. With the referee already being confronted by multiple Union Springs players, the coach sprinted onto the field and punched the referee in the face with a right hook.

The coach got one or two more shots in before being separated by Arsenal Malu players. The coach was apprehended and order was restored, although one fan tried to confront the coach as he was led off the field.

Arsenal Malu missed the ensuing penalty kick, and Union Springs won the match 7-5 in a shootout.
