Tom Wilson knocked into Minnesota Wild bench

Washington Capitals right winger Tom Wilson was knocked into the Minnesota Wild bench with a huge hit during Thursday night's game at the Xcel Energy Center.

It happened in the second period as Wilson skated towards the Wild bench from center ice while chasing the puck. Not only did Wilson fail to get the puck, but he took a hard hit from Wild forward Nino Nieterreider, knocking him backwards. Wilson's momentum sent him backward, and the next thing he knew, he was laying flat on his back inside the Wild bench.

The Wild players didn't exactly go out of their way to help Wilson up. A linesman eventually came by to check on Wilson, who was fine and eventually made it back onto the ice for the rest of his shift.
