Max Homa throws club after shot misses green at PGA Championship (Video)

Max Homa throws club, PGA Championship, 5/18/2025

American pro golfer Max Homa threw his club in frustration after one of his shots missed the green during Sunday's final round of the PGA Championship.

It happened on the third shot of the par-4 3rd hole. Homa intended to set himself up on the green for par, but his shot went a bit long and wide, landing on the fringe past the hole. Homa responded by throwing his club down the fairway, clearly disgusted with himself.

We have seen plenty of golfers toss clubs after bad shots over the years. We do not condone this behavior, but if they are going to throw clubs, it is important to make sure no one is in danger of getting hit.

It would be that kind of day for Homa, who went double bogey on the third hole on his way to a 6-over for the round, finishing 6-over for the tournament. Despite the rough day, it's important to keep things in perspective. Homa did make the cut on Friday, unlike some bigger names like Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth, so he got a couple of extra rounds in.
