Indiana Pacers guard Delon Wright was knocked out cold after knocking heads with Minnesota Timberwolves guard Jaylen Clark during Tuesday night's NBA preseason game
It happened with 46.4 seconds remaining in the first half with the Pacers leading 61-55. Wright was dribbling with his back to T-Wolves superstar Anthony Edwards. As Clark ran in to steal the ball, Wright dribbled to his left without seeing him. The crown of Clark's head hit Wright in the side of his head, knocking him to the ground. Clark was called for a personal foul to stop play.
Jaylen Clark went for the steal and accidentally knocked heads with Delon Wright, with blood gushing out of his face during the Pacers-Timberwolves game.

Wright was bleeding from his mouth and had a cut on the side of his head where his head hit the floor. He was down for several minutes before being walked off the court by Pacers medical staff. Needless to say, he did not return to the game.
This was Wright's first game as a Pacer after playing for the New York Knicks last season. Wright finished with 2 points in 4 minutes of action. However, he did make light of the incident later that evening in an Instagram story which seemed to indicate he would be OK:

Head-to-head collisions are scary in any sport. In basketball, however, no one is wearing a helmet, so you have to be concerned about concussions.
The Pacers won the game 135-134 in OT.
