Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James had an embarrassing moment down the stretch of Friday night's NBA game against the crosstown rival Clippers when he shot an airball on a driving layup.
It happened with under 3 minutes left in the fourth quarter with the Lakers holding a 117-113 lead. With the Lakers on offense, guard Luka Doncic passed it to a wide-open James at the top of the three-point line. James drove straight down the lane, faked the jump shot and threw up the underhand layup just a few feet from the basket. Unfortunately, it went straight up in the air without hitting the rim and the Clippers grabbed the rebound.

This is not the first embarrassing moment James has had during a game. However, considering that James will go down as one of the best NBA players of all time when his career is through, it certainly is shocking when you see it.
James finished the game with 13 points and 11 assists. The Lakers managed to hold on for the 125-122 victory to split the season series at 2 games apiece.
