New York Yankees superstar right fielder Aaron Judge dropped a fly ball during Wednesday night's game against San Diego.
It happened in the top of the fifth with two outs and nobody on as the Padres held a 1-0 lead. Padres batter Martin Maldonado hit a fly ball deep to right field. Judge ran to the warning track and was in position to catch it, but surprisingly dropped the ball, which went off the heel of his glove. Judge then found himself fumbling for the ball as Maldonado reached second base easily.

Judge was charged with the error, and deservedly so. Fortunately, starter Max Fried was able to get out of the inning without allowing Maldonado to come around to score. However, the Yankees have played atrocious defense this series. Their terrible fielding was exposed as a huge liability in last year's World Series against the Dodgers, and unless they do something, it will come back to bite them again.
Judge had a rough night at the plate as well, going 0-for-4 with three strikeouts. However, the Yankees fought through adversity and beat the Padres 4-3 in 10 innings despite only three hits.
